Vette LS2 and GTO LS2 Differences??

I'm wondering if there is any difference between the LS2 in the Vette and the one in the GTO... I'm also looking for stuff for my stickey.. It needs to be reorganized and needs new info.

Differences between the Vette and GTO Cams?? I'm thinking the GTO would be a little different or dialed down.


All I have is LQ9 Cam info..

207/196 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.479" / 0.467" int/exh lift

The LQ9 is a Gen III truck motor and would have a severely toned-down cam meant for pulling a large truck around.

That's a good question... I'm not quite sure if there are minor differences between the LS2s used in the Vettes, GTOs, TBSS, CTS-V, and the SSR, although I'm sure they probably use different cams/converters, etc for the heavier vehicles.

I'm going to do some searching around on the net tonight or whenever I get some free time. I think the TBSS, CTS-V and SSR would have some differences. The Vettes have allways had differences, as in better, with their engines compared to ours. That's why we upgrade to some of those parts.. Like LS6 parts, although there is a good portion of 01-02 F-Bodies that have an LS6 block.
