Has nothing to do with the move. It is about deleted posts in a thread that are still "there" just not visible. That was there before.

I will address the other stuff shortly.

Thanks, I did not know why it was doing that.

2 things::alert:

1. When I try to get towards the end of a thread that has many pages, it won't let me do this. One example is this thread: http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=483848 .. it allows me to go to page 174, then won't let me get past there... yet there is 184 pages to the thread and there are posts as recent as a couple minutes ago... and page 174 has posts from yesterday :shrug:

2. At times, it seems noticably slower loading threads. Just something I've noticed today

Other than that, everything is great as usual :thumb:

Hope this helps :)

If it is an older e-mail, it will do that. Please forward it to webmasters@camaroz28.com so we can take a look at it. Thanks!

See post 11 above. That has always been that way.

Chances are, it is coincidence. I plan to explain why later on today.

Thanks!

 I'm not sure, but it is really taking long to load as of posting this 3:30 pm EST. It used to be very fast, it took me about 15-20 seconds to load this thread up. I tried a few other websites I frequent (local news, email account, etc) and they seem to be loading at normal speed

Not trying to doubt you or anything, just letting you know what I'm seeing on my end. :)

Hope it helps :leaving:

Okay, here's the basic deal with this whole issue...

So why was the site on two servers to begin with?
When we first started the site in 1996, we had just the main HTML/images site on one server at camaroz28.com. When we added the message board a year or so later, we put it on a separate server with a separate domain at camaross[b].com. We worked with what the servers we had available.

When the site grew beyond what those servers would handle, we moved the site to two much more powerful servers.

Later we eventually moved everything to one single server, but kept things the same as far as the site and message board. On that one server, we had two virtual servers. For those who don't know what that means, as far as the internet knew, it was two separate servers even though it was physically on one.

[B]So why move them under one domain?
It got to a point where we felt it was best to move the message board under the main domain name with the rest of the site. After all, it is the CamaroZ28.Com Message Board. When people refer to the site, they say, "CamaroZ28.Com".

In addition, we are working on something that further quantifies the move, which I can talk about at a later date:alert:

Does that mean the board will be faster or slower now?
There should be no speed increase or decrease because the files never actually changed physical servers, only their location on the hard drive.

Does it have anything to do with the Z28 or SS being the top level trim designation for the 2010 model?
Not in the least. In fact, if you are thinking that you are taking that old Z28 vs. SS thing WAY too far. Especially when everyone knows the STFU (http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4812313&highlight=stfu#post4812313) edition will be the the top level. ;) Both domain names point to the same site anyway.

So there ya have it, the whole boring story.

Same here. I thought the site was down for the last few days until I just went to the main page (typed it) a few minutes ago.

Suddenly none of the images are loading on the main page. Was working fine just a couple of hours ago.

Using Firefox 2.0.0.8, BTW.

Update: Working fine now!

I think I found one,

http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/faq.php?faq=supporting_member#faq_start

In the first FAQ box is this link...
http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/payments.php

Works just fine, but lower down the page in another box is this link,
http://www.camaroz28.com/merchandise/forums/payments.php

I suppose their supposed to go to the same place, but having that /merchandise in there screws it up.
