1996 WS6 TransAM with some mods Dayton $8,000 obo

I have a 96 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am that I need to sell. It has 130,000k on the car, but only 100k on the engine and automatic tranny, and only 5k on the rear axle. Car has always been garage kept, NOT A SPEC OF RUST I may be interested in trading for an R6 or a 99+ CBR600 plus cash, but nothing worth more than $4,500 at the most. 8,000 OBO

Only 2051 ws6 coupes were made in 96, about 6,000 more in 97, and then they changed the body style in 98 to the newer one that you see around EVERY corner, with this one, you would stand out more. I've had the car for 35k miles and have a pretty good maintenance log. I've always used Castrol Syntec 0w30 and K&N or mobil 1 filters.
130k on the body, was repainted original color in 2004. The motor and tranny have 100k on them. The rear end was completely rebuilt 3,000 miles ago with 3.42 gearing and a brand new auburn pro posi unit by Precision Autosports in Beavercreek, their website is http://www.precision-autosports.com/

MODS:

Motor:
Pacesetter longtube ceramic coated headers with offroad y-pipe (no cats on it)

DMH electric cutout to run open longtubes right after the y-pipe, I built the switch into the ash tray area, closes in a few seconds if you see cops, and exhaust goes back through the quiet stock muffler

98+ front brakes, polished the aluminum front calipers, I clear coated them, but it's starting to peel off, could be redone easily with better clearcoat

TB bypass

LT4 knock module

descreened MAF for better flow

throttlebody airfoil

16o degree thermostat

Converted the computer to OBD1, much easier and cheaper to tune with a laptop. It currently has a custom tune in it from ION at http://www.madz28.com/ made just for this car, has to be run on premium or you might get knocking

Suspension:
Koni SA adjustable shocks in front, only 5k miles on these

Vogtland lowering springs 1.2" drop 5k on these

Moog upper and lower balljoints done 10k ago

J&M bolt in LCA relocation brackets 5k ago

BMR Tubular lower control arms

BMR race only dual adjustable panhard rod 5k ago

18x9 ADR kasai rims with good rubber 10k old

Rear end completely rebuilt, just like new, used a brand new factory style Auburn Pro LSD unit, and 3.42 motive gears, light whine only from 50-60mph, hasn't gotten any worse since install 5k ago

Aluminum driveshaft from an LS1

Looks:

6000k HID xenon headlights with hella headlamp enclosures (HID bulbs and ballasts made by phillip's, not the cheapos on ebay)

tinted windows, rear hatch, and t-tops

has JVC stereo head unit, I will even include the 480 watt RMS amp and the 2-10's in the custom box (ugly) I made for the hatch, it doesn't block putting the t-tops in at all.

Custom Chrome sills that say WS6 on them, I haven't even installed them yet.

Maintenance wise the car has been my garage queen along with my current bike in a 2 car garage.

The not so good:
front bumper could use repainting, I think somebody backed it to it lightly in the meijers parking lot on the right corner, it has the spider cracks around where it happened and only a couple chips in the paint by the turn signal, mostly clearcoat is rubbed dull about 6" around, the rest of the bumper is fine

needs a new bumpstop on left rear

rear bumper has some minimal spider cracking in it, otherwise in good shape

there is a key scratch in the door about 2 feet long, not very deep, I think somoene was jealous, probably can be fixed easily, but I'm not good with paint work at all

the y-pipe rattles slightly on the floorboard sometimes, not always, it might be as easy as replacing the motor mounts with polyeurethane ones ( I bought some, haven't installed yet) or you can just bang the y-pipe down in the 2 spots where it does it, haven't had time to do it and it doesn't really bother me as it's very minimal

the upper dashboard top is cracked by the windshield, doesn't rattle at all, it is a common problem with firebirds and camaros, I can put a new one in if it bothers you, they only cost about $100.

Car factory options: power windows, power locks with key fob and alarm, power steering, power lumbar and back control for seats, leather seats-not ripped anywhere, car has been babied, 4 speed automatic tranny (only WS6 I could find at the time I bought it), AC works great

The car runs beautifully, with 100k on the motor and tranny is nothing on an LT1, if you look at the classified ads, these motors will run 160k with ease.

The car wasn't lowered yet in this picture:

The price is negotiable. Plus, this body style of WS6 is pretty hard to find, especially in ohio with not even a hint of rust anywhere. The private party value on KBB is $6k I believe, and this has around $3000 in parts on it, not including the countless hours of labor involved in putting all the parts on it. Also not including the completely rebuilt rear 5k ago. I'm patient, and no matter how much you say mods don't add value, they do to the right person.

Thanks lol, the only place I've put it up so far locally is craigslist and dayton fbody sites, I don't really want to sell it but it's the best thing to do right now, just figured someone close might be on these forums as well.
