v6 exhaust

i have a v6 camaro, and a trans am parts car, would it be worth my effort to change my y-pipe and singe 2 1/2 inch pipe to trans am 3 inch pipe?

its a free mod, but i dont know if i would gain anything, or if i should go from cat back meaning y-pipe to (take out cat) and 3" to muffler....or should i go off manifold duels all the way back?

If its free you cant beat it!! If you are paying for it (depends on what you really wanna do), I would just go with a better muffler for now. Of course a cat back wouldnt hurt though. For me, I have a 92 RS with a v6 with a flowmaster 80 series muffler and it sounds great with it alone. Im getting ready to build another motor for it so Im not concerned with the rest of the exhaust at this point. It was just something I had to do (Stock muffler rusted out)
