I Need help!

Okay iam in the middle of changing my optispark, water pump an while iam at it i was going to throw some BBK headers on. So i took my WP off, an got stuck cause i need a puller to pull my crank pulley.

So i got started on the manifolds, i took the drivers side off with out much pain, an now working on the passengers. Ive got four bolts off, an the back two are left. Do i NEED to take out the dip stick tube? Cause if not that would be fantastic, cause my dad swears up an down that it wont come out an hes no taken a huge fit over it.

I need help guys!

Yes the dipstick comes out I had to take mine out for the longtubes, I don't know what kind of headers you have but I would say you most likely have too take it out. It is kind of hard to get out i pulled from the bottom and had a friend wiggle it and pull it from the top.

the only thing that holds the tube in is (if i can remember correctly a 10mm bolt). tell your dad to calm down its O...K.... :)

Thanks!! I read in a thread while i was searching that alot of guys were pulling on them an what not. If i unbolt it, do i still have to rip on it to get it out?

yes it still will be hard to get out, having two people helps a lot be careful though don't bend the tube trying to pull it out.
