has anyone used the imperial glaze before? its kind of reading like its almost a pre cleaner, as you have to wax after you are done using the glaze.

A true glaze is used to cover up imperfections in the paint surface and has no real corrective or protective properties. It has its place, but I don't know many people who use it on a regular basis, to be honest.
