Hi all,

Well I have been looking to get some black outs (headlight covers) for my 1991 convertible...aside from looks I have noticed that the sun is taking its toll in the inlets of the nose in those areas.

Well after looking around for brands etc (GT, Ventshade, Wade) I noticed that they have different ones for the RS and the z28's. Meaning that the nose must be different on these cars right? I am in total disbelief having had these cars for so long and never noticing this...

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Also if anyone has an recommendations on which brand "HOLDS" better for the headlight covers would also appreciate that. I can't find accurate photos anywhere.

my 92 i bought a while ago came with the taillight blackouts but no headlight blackouts even though it was supposed to (forgot to ask) anyway, the brand of the taillight blackouts are GTS I'm 80% positive on that. I dont know if those are the factory ones?? but they seem to be holding up good.

00 Thanks for the reply. Well the camaro never came with factory blackouts front or rear. Actually in most states they are illegal since they cut down on light. Brands I have found GTS, Ventshade, Wade, & Lund.

00 quick question how are the tail light covers you have held on? I keep reading velcro which makes them easy to steal...

my brothers camaro has the GTS ones also... the pop in and u gotta kinda work them a little to get them off... its easier to pop them out when the hatch is open but somebody could pop them out with a flathead screwdriver if they really wanted to

Just took a quick look around the WEB. Most advertise that their covers fit both RS's and Z28's. They have the same part number.
There is NO difference between the two that I know of.

There are only about 4 vendors for blackouts for our cars. Ventshade, Lude, GTO, & Wade. Ventshade is the only one with the same item number.
