is pretty much the best looking and multi functional kit available.
However a much cheaper alternative is a standard blow-down tube.

theres many different options for them.
2000GTP 10-03-2007, 07:15 PM I like the universal kit the best, it gives you the flexibility in which you can snake the AN line through a nearby drain hole or such. The fixed tube depending where you mount the bottle will surely need a fresh hole drilled through the sheetmetal.
mcssmostwanted 10-03-2007, 11:51 PM i see to bad the universal kit is 4 times the cost of a standard. looks like ill be drillin that hole! thanks a lot guys
2000GTP 10-05-2007, 05:48 PM You could probably rig up your own for a little less cost as well, you would just need a length of AN hose and the corresponding fitting to connect to the bottle.
fastcamz28 10-05-2007, 05:52 PM I made my blow down set-up using a braided line and angle connections for considerably less than the cost of the universal kit. My bottle is located in the wheel well so I used the drain hole and secured it. Clean look and very accomodating of the tight space. Will be happy to provide pics when I get the car back next weekend.
Thanks!

Hey Chris, if your not doing anything on Sun. stop by between 9am to 2pm. We'll be finishing up the nitrous, hopefully. Rick
PS, maybe you can make sure we are wiring up the 685 correctly.

lol sorry Fred, I have had that picture for quite some time now and couldn't put my finger on who's its was! thanks again for the help, my life has been much better since nitrous!
97formulakid 10-09-2007, 11:18 AM Where did you guys get all the fittings to do the flexible tube?? I am going to ultimately need two kits since I will be running two bottles.
I plan on putting the bottles behind my seats after I delete the rears. I was just going to run the blowdown tubes down to the floorboard and drill some holes in floorboard then have a fitting actually screwed into the floorboard so eliminate road noise.
Injuneer 10-09-2007, 03:12 PM Standard -8AN fittings and hose, available from any number of sources. The one that goes through the floor is called a "bulkhead" fitting.
I'm in the process of moving my bottle to the hump between the (no longer there) rear seats using the Nitrous Outlet bottle mount. Then I'll have to figure out how to hook up the blowdown hose, hopefully without reworking it.

97formulakid 10-09-2007, 03:25 PM How does the "bulkhead" fitting attach to the floor board? Does it screw in?

Nevermind, I just searched it on summit and found them. Thanks Injuneer.
97formulakid 10-09-2007, 03:47 PM Ok so here is the list of stuff I think I need. Tell me if I'm wrong or right.
-8AN bulkhead fitting x 2
-8AN hose (about 3 ft or more)
90 degree -8AN hose ends x 2
straigh -8AN hose ends x 2
2 blow off valve adaptors (nitro daves)
sound about right for two different blow off valves to be mounted in my back seat?
Ray@NitroDaves 10-09-2007, 05:38 PM with the bulk head fitting make sure they come with the bulk head nuts
but other than that it looks good.
97formulakid 10-09-2007, 06:23 PM Yes they do. Thanks ray. BTW, do you have a link for the blow down tube attachment that goes to the bottle?
