I have a question about the Greenlight Camaros Series 2. I have bought other Greenlight cars in promotions where if you buy a quanity of 10 or 12 cars, one regular car would automaticly be replaced with a Green Machine. Do you do a similar deal on these cars?

Depends on what you consider "available". :) Every 25th pre-ordered regular production car (up to the first 500) will get a Green Machine version to go along with it. This goes by car serial number. However, since the first 500 sold out in a matter of days (which happened several weeks ago), any orders placed now will not be eligible for that as there are less than 200 left, to be semi-precise. Just being honest, I wouldn't want you to order today thinking you wouild get a chance at a Green Machine. Hope this makes sense. Okay, let's make it official!

The CamaroZ28.Com Die-Cast Car Series II is NOW IN and is NOW SHIPPING!

I got them in a couple of days ago, I had some sorting and inspecting to do to make sure they were all good to go and so far, so good! They turned out great and everyone who liked the first one is going to love this one!

As mentioned, they are going out in the sequence that they were ordered in. I will be spending all weekend processing orders, and then in the evening on Monday. The first batch will go out Tuesday morning! (USPS doesn't run on Monday for MLK day.)

Did you guys know that this is the first ever known Camaro Concept Pace Car Convertible produced in any size? Sure is! If you didn't place your order and still want one, you better head over to CZ28Store.Com (http://www.cz28store.com) and order yours. As mentioned before, they are individually numbered and once they are gone, I won't have any more. Get them while you can.

I would like to thank everyone for the support on this project once again. It was just as fun if not more so than the first one. In fact...no kidding...Series III is already in the early beginning stages for completion later this year. Of course, I have to put that on hold for a bit to ship the current Series II car but once that is done, it is right back to the drawing board. All I can say at this point is that if you like the first one and Series II, Series III will really knock you out. No more hints for now, but will be mentioned in the Podcast here and there. Be listening each week! :)

I ordered within a minute of you I think, so if you beat me by a few seconds, it's possible you got magic # 25. That's almost as good as #1. The reason I got mine so fast, by the way, will most likely be explained in the podcast on Friday.

Heh...yeah, right. I wouldn't feel right cheating someone like that, it wouldn't be worth it. My conscience would eat me alive. I just don't roll that way.

I get a small charge when I pull the next car in line to ship, check the serial and realize that someone is in for a cool surprise. I always wonder if they don't know what it is and say "Wow...a green one that I didn't order. Oh well, I will open it up..." :|

Like I mentioned before, I don't give them away "randomly" because I want people know for sure if they truly were one of the lucky ones to "win" one.

My 2 white ones are great but my 3 year old loves the color green- so i told him he could take it outside and see how deep he could make it burrow in the mud- since I only ordered 2 and got a third as well.

Look through the packaging on the bottom of the car itself for the serial number. Certificates went to the first 150 cars (approx. 10% of the run). Let me know what your number is.

I have another question Jason- You say you do not send the green machines randomly because you like people to know what or who is getting the greenie....but none of these guys who ordered early enough to get a greenie knew their number until they got the car in their hands ? So they dont know if they are getting a greenie until it is in their hands...Im confused what you mean by you dont insert them randomly..
because even though people know every 25th car up to 500 is a greenie...it is still random if know one knows what # they have until they get the car...

A few years ago when I was a pretty good sized collector, I would buy things on the same sort of level...where if I was lucky, I might be "randomly chosen" to win a bonus car or similar situation.

The thing is, when I got my package and discovered that I was not "randomly chosen" and wondered how I would really know if I was or was not?

When I did my first car in the series, I wanted to encourage early pre-ordering. Gotta pay my bills, you know. :) I thought it would be cool to make a bonus type of offer for early pre-orders. I do the same sort of thing for my racing event every October, a sort of "early-bird" offer. So, instead of having everyone open their packages and wonder how they were (or in most cases, were NOT) chosen to get the bonus, I decided to base it on actual car number. That way, if someone gets a car that has a serial number between 1 and 500 and the number ends in 25, 50, 75, or 00, then they better have a green car in their shipping box or I am in trouble. :cool:

When I process orders, I look at the order data, see how many cars were ordered, grab them and check the serial number before I put them in the box. it actually makes it easier for me because it is one less decision I have to make. Well..sorta easier...many times I have the shipping label already printed and then I have to cancel it to and print another one with the changed weight for one more car. :lol:

So I suppose now that I actually put it into words, when I say "not random", I mean I am not the one who choses a random winner or roll dice or just "whenever I feel like it" but I let actual order sequence itself and car serial numbers that cannot be forged determine who gets one. It takes me out of the decision process and I like to think that people consider it a more honest way of doing it, not that I am saying other people who do the same thing are dishonest but you know what I mean. It just how I like to do it so everyone knows why they won or didn't win without question.

Yes, you could order 25 cars and guarantee yourself one but I don't expect people to do that. I do know that once this time and one the previous time, someone ordered 10 cars and both times they got lucky because at that point, their odds approach 50/50. I never really thought about it until I noticed when shipping the orders. Again, I don't really expect people to do this. In fact, if I recall a few of the Green Machine recipients ordered only one this time around.

Sit tight all, I am still shipping! I would have it done by now but I had to do a bit of moving over the weekend for work. More on this later...

Hmm.. What are those # certificates I see for the Phase 1? I never got any for my Phase 1 ???

Only the first 10% of the run (#'s 1-150) have certificates.

I noticed something on my Phase 1 diecast that lead me to a question..

Anyone else here happen to have, or notice that if you were to flip the car around (NOT a green machine) that the first rivot (directly below engine, between and middle of front wheels is painted GREEN???

The rivot on the back between the rear wheels is not painted; but plain unpainted metal.

FYI: my serial # under car is 1180

Well... every time there's a new series if I keep ordering 3-5 I'll eventually get a Green Machine.

As for this round... 317, 318, 319. Kinda wish I would've ordered five now to make sure I have the same number of each set, but oh well.

:D My first post is a big thank you to Jason and those responsible for the excellent packaging of the merchandise.

I just received my car in the mail today. The overall quality of this latest effort is outstanding in my opinion. Especially the interior - it was much better than I first thought. Detail in this scale improves all the time and Greenlight continues to nail it!

Okay, I think it is time to wrap this one up. There's a few of Series II left but not many. Once again I'd like to thank everyone for supporting this project and for the nice words, it helps keep it fun for me. :)

I won't be posting about it for a while as I want to complete the new package design, etc. before I get to that point. I also want to mention about GreenLight...the company I contract to make the cars for me. I know that through the CamaroZ28.Com die-cast car projects, I have introduced many people to GreenLight Collectibles. So far, I think they are a very cool company and I really enjoy working with them. They started a m"embers only" club that I joined to check out. It is the Under the Hood Collectors Club and if you like GreenLight cars, you might be interested in joining.

It is not black (like the 1st release)
It is not white (like Series II)
The packaging is different, more detailed and much better, IMO. Took a bit more design effort on my part but I think it was worth it.
