I bought my current 94 Camaro in Oct of 2003 prety much as a basket case with an awsome running LT1/T56. Over the the last few years it has gone through several major changes the latest of which started in April of this year when I pulled the engine and removed the front clip to do an LS1 swap and update the front end. Here are just afew pics of the car showing what I started with and what I have now.

What I looked like when I bought it.

As you can see the car has come a ways. When I started the LS1 swap I was unsure if it was the right thing to do because the LT1 I had was stupid fast at a 12.98 with only Mids, and cat back, and a CAI. Well.....With only Mids, a Stealth II cam, A lid, and the same Cat back the LS1 is WWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY faster. It will pull cleanly in 5th from only 1000RPM. It's insane.

More pics of the car in all stages of work can be seen at the link in my sig.

I guy I originally bought the car from didn't beleive it either.

CONGRATZ! Looks amazing What kind of pass's are you making now?

It only been done a few days, in fact I still have to get an alignment, get the A/C charged, and do some data logging so I can touch up the tune some.

Knowing what the LT1 ran and comparing it to this I'm guessing around 360-370 RWHP at least and low 12s in the quarter. The car is stupid fast. I miss the low end of the LT1, but I'll get over it. Mash the go pedal at 3k in third and your looking at 100+ in no time at all. I think I can get used to this.

Next step is a set of LE1 heads (Loyd does LS1 heads too) and a fast intake this winter. That should take me just north of 400RWHP.

Although the start to finish pictures are crazy. It was done in stages. When intiially purchased I fixed the body, painted it, threw in a cheap interior, and found some SS rims and hood. Two years later I purchased a wrecked 97 Z28 and swaped in the entire interior and dash. And finially this April I tore it down agian to install the LS1 and swap the front clip.

Very cool man. If I was you, I'd have had a hard time changing it when it had the LT1 front and SS hood. It was a very clean looking car at that point. It still looks great now, so awesome job.

Actually...Because of all the work and time in the car I had it appraised and I have aggreed value insurance on it. You know how pissed I would be if something happened to it and State Farm handed me a check for $2500

wow man looks awesome! how much did the ls1 swap cost, seriously considering this for my 96 ws6

I pait $2500 for a 2002 A4 TA w/27k on it. Bought a T56, Headers, clutch, and other misc parts totaling about $5000. Sold the LT1, LT1 T56, headers and other misc parts from the Camaro and the TA I bought for about $3000. Out of pocket costs for the LS1 swap of about $2000.

LS1 cars dont have the batwing wipers do they? I dont think so. If so, thats the only way you can tell this isnt a true LS1 besides the vin LOL.

Thanks...That's not a problem. I still have the wipers off the TA. I'll put them on tomorrow.:D

One question: Why does the car appear to have a tan headliner in the most recent pics and then a dark grey/black headliner in others? Is it just lighting?
