I have a 1995 Camaro Z28 coupe. The colors are red body with black accents. I also have black tail and headlight covers, so I'd like to add a little more by painting the intake scoops on the hood black. My understanding is that its not difficult to do, but I have no experience with this.
First off, has anyone seen this sort of paint job done before and possibly know of pictures I could look at?
Secondly, what is the process to safely remove the cover underneath the hood to have access to the two scoops, and how do you remove the scoops to paint them.
Third, any opinions? I've heard once you paint over red, it's very hard to paint back to the original red so I am nervous about this project.
Thanks guys.
