Weld in subframe connectors survey

Hey those of you with weld in subframe connectors please share:

1. What year your car is

2. Which subframes you used

3. How long did it take you to weld them on or how long did it take a shop to weld them on or how much did a shop charge you to weld them on.

3) Didn't have a welder at the time, so I had a shop do it. They only charged me $30 since I did all the prep work -- i.e., grinding off the paint on the frame as well as the powdercoat on the SFC's at the weld points (need bare metal to weld), plus breaking the old bolts loose, and doing some grinding on the factory rear LCA mounting holes to align properly. Took all of about 20 minutes to install once the car was up on the lift.

Installed 10/20/07 and the the car really feels stiffer and more stable under all conditions, the shop charged $150 to weld them in.

3. I think the shop charged $100... Could have been less... It's been a while. It took them about an hour. I still have the receipt buried somewhere.

I LOVE em!!! It COMPLETELY changed every aspect of the car's handling. Even the braking was different! 99% satisfied.

3. Welded them in myself in about 2 hours including removing rear bolts of the LCAs.....careful around the fuel lines under the driver side door.

Turned out great, best mod to date.

very nice pieces, if you plan on handling, these are a must, especially with the aftermarket torque arm in between tieing it all together into one unit.

Took about 15 min per side (make sure you clean off old paint before welding)

Tucks up nice and tight, really cut down on body flex and noise.

Had M.M.W. in fresno, ca. weld them up for 95$, took about 1.5 hr from

start to finish.

The cool thing about the bolt-in subs is you can install yourself in the event you don't want them welded right away, and always opt for that a little later on. In my case, it was only due to the lack of having an available welder/shop at the time I installed them.

i really like the easy fit of the bmr sfc's,i guess thats why i have all bmr products on my cars
i am sure the others are just as good but all i have used on the 4th gens are bmr componets
