Is this a fair price for some light body work?

My wife drove the GN to work yesterday. She was really tired at the end of a ten hour shift, and she misjudged the garage door by maybe half an inch.

Here is the result:

I have a quote to fix it for $134. That's two hours labor at $65 per, $4 waste disposal. If they end up needing to remove and reinstall the turn signal assembly, that's an extra $9. They're just going to mask everything off and paint it right on the car.

This is from a reputable shop. The same guys that painted Dan Burk's WS6 (ws6transam):

So, does this sound like a fair price to you guys?

Sweet, thanks Jason.

Anyone else care to chime in? I'm leaving to take it there in about 15 minutes...

That Does'nt Look Like It Needs To Be Painted. THE PAINT CAN BE BUFFED OUT AND THE RUBBER BUMPER REMOVED AND SPRAY BOMBED WITH RUBBER TRIM PAINT. I'D RESHOOT BOTH SIDES OR REPLACE THEM.

Some of it can be buffed, but it's scraped down to the metal in a couple places.

My wife is generally the exception to that rule. She had an extremely difficult day and was exhausted on her drive home.

I wish she had called me and asked me to pick her up, but I can't really fault her for what happened.

Turn off your caps lock. :)

They're doing a spot repair. The paint on the car is nice, but it isn't perfect. Some day when I have more money, we'll get it all cleaned up.

That is cheap...I dont know if you have got it fixed yet...If they are going to paint it on the car I would check the rest of you car for over spray when they get it done....

Hope that helps...If you haven't done it yet

It's now fixed. They did a fine job, and I didn't see any overspray anywhere.

That's fine. Just turn it off everywhere else. It makes your posts hard to read and is generally considered rude. :)

Looks good from here. You just need to respray rubber section on the bumper to give it a fresh look....
