Ray@NitroDaves 08-31-2007, 06:09 PM What are the advantages of running a stand alone fuel system from Nitro Dave for my nitrous kit? I know if I start spraying bigger people have said to get it but should I think about it now? Benefits 1) Ensures the nitrous system has planty of fuel supply 2) Allows the use of higher octane fuel to reduce detonation 3) Reduces the amounts of race fuel purchased 4) Cheaper than a complete A1000 setup Cons: 1) Cost over a walbro 255/hotwire A standard Racetronix (walbro 255 and hotwire) will support 6-650whp The dedicated will support up to 1200hp. 97formulakid 08-31-2007, 06:16 PM So if I go through with my 383 build and spray a 250 shot, the standalone would probably be necessary right? Chopstix 08-31-2007, 11:45 PM So if I go through with my 383 build and spray a 250 shot, the standalone would probably be necessary right? Well an avg to good 383 is going to make 400-450whp so you would exceed what a walbro 255 can support. for that setup I would suggest a dedicated 97formulakid 09-01-2007, 10:16 AM very nice. thanks guys FASTFATBOY 09-05-2007, 09:37 PM Well an avg to good 383 is going to make 400-450whp so you would exceed what a walbro 255 can support. for that setup I would suggest a dedicated I have seen a single 255 walbro support 680 rwhp. On stock ls1 fuel lines. David Chopstix 09-05-2007, 09:58 PM I have seen a single 255 walbro support 680 rwhp. On stock ls1 fuel lines. David I have also....but on the flip side I have a customer that was out of pump at 513rwhp. Every car is different...and I never like to be anywhere near the absolute limit of something as critical as the fuel system 97formulakid 09-18-2007, 10:11 AM would the HSW stand alone system work on a LT1? C Man 09-26-2007, 10:28 PM Another big advantage is the ability to tune the fuel pressure as you can use a seperate fuel pressure regulator. I have a standalone fuel system and the LTCC ignition on my 383. Especially for the bigger shots of nitrous, having the ability to tune both the fuel and the spark will allow you to maximize the power.... and there is no need to go into the PCM for any extra tuning. 94FBIRD 09-28-2007, 11:04 PM would the HSW stand alone system work on a LT1? The stand alones placed behind the driver's side headlight will only work on an LT1, if you have a ram air hood and the air filter is placed above the radiator. That is what I have with a Nitrous Outlet tank. The quality is absolutely fantastic. Or you could use the stand alones placed on the battery tray. But then you have the relocate the battery to the hatch area. Or Nitrous Outlet has tank that mounts in the spare tire well. mthegodfather 09-29-2007, 12:24 AM http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog/product_details.asp?group=24&model=73&dept=11&product_id=927 http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog/product_details.asp?group=24&model=73&dept=11&product_id=945 http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog/product_details.asp?group=24&model=73&dept=11&product_id=2860 rock1501 09-29-2007, 04:39 AM I think I might get this for next year for when I spray my car | ||
