Hello all, I;m looking to restore my rear susp. to it's original, non salt rotted former self and I have a few questions.

Rear shocks, it is my daily driver and what brands are good to buy. I have price checked Bilsteins and Edelbrock IAS. How are AC Delco replacemnts priced?

Also what and where exactly are the bump stops? Also what are good replacemnts for those?

My symptoms are the rear thuds and every bump sounds very loud like the rear portion of the body is taking the brunt of the force with the noise.I also have a groan from my driver side, possible a LCA bushings which I am replacing with 1LE ones.

Thanks for reading.

I have Bilsteins on mine and they are great (daily driver) The bump-stops are on the inside of the rear fender-well at the top, easily replaced (2 bolts). I had a 94 before the SS and replaced mine with dealer bought replacements, and they werent too expensive.

You probably already checked, but do you have any loose bolts? I had a couple of thunking noises in mine (I just bought). Turned out to be a loose part in the spare well and a loose shock bolt.
