hey guys, i just got my set up running on sunday. the car is runnig well, great idle. seeing as how i am new the v8 world(had an 87 GN) i was just wondering if i could get some general info from all you FI guys.
this is my set up
383 with apx 8.5:1 comp
comp 224/236/114
trick flow 62cc heads
42# injectors
gmp timing chain
accufab AFR
255lph pump
52mm tb
headers w/ypipe and cut-out
msd cap and rotor
csr EWP
1.6rr
ngk tr6
madz28 tune
its set up right now with powerdyne s/c with the 9# pulley but its only giving me 3.5# right now. i knew it would not be 9# but i thought at least 6#. anyways im now looking for a bigger blower.
anyways besides the blower, what else should i know? i read something about the MAF only being good for 500hp? anyways anything that you guys could let me in on would be great.

You should get a custom dyno tune. I also think you'll need bigger injectors, dual fuel pumps or at least a BAP. Your clutch probably won't last long, might consider getting a stronger driveshaft and upgraded rear end. Really depends how much rwhp you're looking for? 500, 600, 700? Decide what blower you want. D1SC, F1A?

What do you have for tubes into and out of the blower? Belt tension on those are something else to consider.

ok so the 255lph isnt big enough. my buddy has a set of 50lbs msd injectors i could swap him for.
i just installed a spec 3 clutch which should handle the power.
ive read that the most power you can make from a powerdyne is 11psi on a stock heads and manifolds so its pretty much pointless to put money into it, so im looking for a bigger blower.
once i get everything i need ill get it on a dyno and have it tuned at the same time.
its a street car for now so the rear end will stay untill the next spring seeing as how i cant drive it from december untill april.
