Are you spinning?

not really...right off the line it feels like they spin a little like a "Chirp" but im not like spinning thru 1st gear or anything...

If you're not spinning then the only thing that will make it quicker in the 60' is more power to the wheels. You could do this by going to a higher stall aftermarket torque converter.

What brand stall converter are you going with? I good converter can improve your 1/4 by five tenths (.5) as-well-as the 60ft.

Be aware that with 94 & 95 cars a problem can occur with stalls over 3000 rpm.

Its an OBD 1 computer issue. Most tuners can get around it.

Yep it has nothing to do wiht the trans. With the OBD1 computer and a stall that actually stalls to more than 3000 rpm the computer sees this as a bad trans/converter and puts the car into limp home mode. And it seems that sometimes it's easily tuned out and others have a heck of a time getting it to not happen on a case by case basis.

The shop that swapped out my converter to the 3600 Yank had Ion stop by and check the car out on the dyno. No stall wall here. The car does do a funky 1-2 shift though if it spins off the line instead of a dead hook. Always has, even with the 2800 Vig. Good thing the MT street radials are such an awesome tire. Problem solved.

I also run ET Streets. Drop your tires to 15-16psi you should hook up better then 2.1.

Do you run ET street radials? Or ET streets? They are 2 completely different tires and ET streets like about 15.5-16 PSI warm on an average weight f-body. ET street radials should like closer to 20-22. I run Hoosiers new drag radial and I dead hook 1.47 to 1.49 60's at 21 PSI hot.

yea i was running my et street radials at 20psi i was hooking but i thought i could feel a tiny bit of wheel spin or a chirp right off the line.....i aqlways thought a near stock LT1 could 60ft in the 1.9 range with good DR's

Your right I didn't note on camaroracing post he used radials. I'm running ET Streets... Camaroracing maybe drop your psi down to 18.5-19 before your burn out. after your burn out the psi will rasie to about 20psi.

Don't give up...Just give it try. I was stuck at 1.7 60ft for a long time. That was at when I had my psi set at 16 before my burn out. Then when I return back into the pits I would check my tires they where at 18-18.5psi. I started to drop them at 14 before my burn out and now I'm hitting 1.6's

Yes, start it it off with 18.5psi, then when you return into the pits just check to see how much it rasied the tire psi. From there you can play around on what works for you.
