In an interview with Automotive News...Rick Wagoner says that Bob Lutz will probably stay at GM longer that his original contract which expires in 2004.

Maybe we should tell him that we want a new Camaro.

OK, well, I feel a little better if you remember it too :)

Perhaps they just got around to formalizing it now then??

He's gonna stay, he has alot of work to do yet. He wants to be the 1 to turn GM around.

YES. Agreed. Screw the GTO and Solstice. I want a 500+ HP C6, and a Cobra-eating F-body.

I'm sure if you were willing to stump up the development costs, they'd be happy to build you whatever you want ...

Bob can build whatever he wants. And he's proven that.
I guess what bothers me about Bob Lutz is that for being such a "car guy" he seems to have no interest in the Camaro/Firebird.
Instead of doing Solstice or importing the "new" GTO how about the return of our F-car.

...or maybe they could get funds from some foreign company that already has a car developed. HEY! That's an idea! They could just import a performance car, and mess with the exterior styling a little bit....and then call it a muscle car. Now where to find this foreign car company? Wait...maybe the company will be in an American-like country.....I'm thinking Australia.

Yeah....that's the ticket.

Dude...C'mon, Australia is like a brother, and Holden is as much GM as a Chevy is. I cant wait for the cars from Holden to show up here.:)
