Well, heres my final pics of my FMIC install as promised from my last post with pics a few days ago. I cut out the two openings in the nose and used black rubber door edge molding around the edges for a clean finished look. Picked it up at Pep Boys. For the mesh behind the openings along with the old fog openings, i went to Home Depot and picked up what is called Kwikmesh. Its a 1/8th galvanized expanded metal mesh. It's not that flimsy, but easy to cut and work with. Wrapped it around the back side of the nose openings and used a 2 part epoxy to attach it. Actually holds pretty good. The sole purpouse of this was so i wouldn't catch a rock in the intercooler. It took some work but think it all worked out well. Hopefully it might give others ideas for their installs and maybe answer some questions. I think the car is lighter now though due to all the holes i've drilled and redrilled mounting and remounting things for better fits though. Sheesh... Enjoy.

...And if your wondering if you can keep your cruise control and if you can still mount it in there, here it is.

Very clean man! My only question is how low is that pipe from the ground behind the air damn?

Very nice work. You could also put a thin coat of flat black paint over the front of the intercooler and it wouldn't be so noticeable/shiny.:)

Very nice! Is the blower discharge the one that's next to the relay box?

The bottom of the piping is level with the bottom of the air dam. I will probably get it up there tighter but totally lost motivation after so much cutting and fitting. I have enough piping left so with a piece under cut differently, i can tuck it right under the support the radiator sits on right behind the air dam. Was just dying to get it on the road for now. As for the bypass valve, yes, thats it under the relay box. You can see it in the pic that shows where my K&N sits. Its just above and to the right of the filter. The sound it makes will take some getting used to since i no longer have it plumbed back into the charger intake. The provision is there though if i ever decide to plumb it back in that way. Thanks for the complements all.

I actually did think about that, but then kinda liked the idea of the "uh oh" thoughs i'd get as i'm rolling up behind someone while there looking in there rear view. ;)

LOL. Hopefully they never get to see you in their rear view. I much prefer to see their faces after they see me laying a scratch at 55mph down the highway when they thought it was a stock TA they were playing with. Can you find the blower in this pic?:D
