Pre-Woodward kills....

I raced a new Mustang from a 25 mph roll while driving the long underpass for 696. The Mustang was the first to takeoff, with me responding quickly. I'm not too certain how fast I got going, but I slowed down as I was climbing back up the underpass. Just as I was hitting the brakes, I looked in my rearview mirror to see how far behind the Mustang was. To my amazement he was ATLEAST 5-8 car lengths back  The driver of the Mustang was able to catch me at the next light and he said to me, "Are you trying to be sneaky or something with your single exhaust? I thought I was racing against a V-6 car."

One of my other enjoyable kills was racing an early 90's Viper. We were sitting next to eachother at a light facing southbound on Woodward. The driver never really looked at me but I could tell from their position of readiness (and raising the rpm ) that we was going to race. When the light turned green I launched great for being on street tires. I chirped them a little, but no bogging or spinning. Mr. Viper on the other hand bogged, spun and was behind by 3 cars when I reached 50 mph.

What made me laugh even more was that even once I let off and braked at 50mph, the Viper kept going full throttle. Either he was being a pansy trying to pull a false win, or he was running with his tail between his legs
