Wiring a Mallory 685 to a Zex dry kit

Any tips how to do this the right way? The Zex box only has 3 wires coming out of it. 12v+, ground, and TPS signal.

Thanks,
Rob

the violet wire is the window switch output...it is a ground control
the yellow wire is the retard control...it needs to see 12v to activate the timing retard...I suggest using a relay to control the retard function.

So where do most of you guys mount the 685 box? I saw that 2000GTP has it in the hatch. I wonder if he'll chime in and tell me how and where he ran the wiring.

it is not reccomended ....the Mallory is not designed to carry the high amp load the the ZEX main ground will supply

I monted my 685 box and my 10 lb mottle in the spare tire compartment. I jut made a wire harness that pluged into the box and then ran it under the carpet along the door trim and thwn out the fire wall behind the pcm.

all my relays are mounted on a bracket I made that is bolted to the rad support by the battery so they are easy to get to. All the wires to the solenoinds are hidden inside my stb.

will post pics later.

Just wondering on terminal 85 of the diagram the purple wire from the 685 box plugs in to it, It is supposed to see ground to activate. Well I dont see how that is going to work since there is no where to ground the relay?

The 685 supplies ground on the violet wire
