abs delete with procharger?racer96 08-06-2007, 03:20 PM hey guys i put my new motor and supercharger in and there is no room to get around the abs system. has anyone had this problem and how did u fix it? did u have to remove it or shim it up? thanks ZBLKHELLRZR 08-06-2007, 04:44 PM No problem here w/ the ABS. You may just have to play w/ it a little more to get the room. My IC piping came in contact w/ the ABS a little and I just used some weather strip to sit in between the piping and ABS so as not to chip my powder coated piping. I'm actually contemplating deleting the ABS as I have the SJM's kit along w/ the LL but I don't do brake lines but I don't trust other people w/ my car either. Guess I got to learn this wk then. ha-ah...... KS91Z28 08-06-2007, 05:55 PM Are you talking about ABS or the Traction Control? If you need to relocate the Traction Control, try calling Danny Bahn for a relocation kit. (626) 571-7126 Buzz97 08-06-2007, 06:03 PM I bought the traction control relocation kit from Danny and I am extremly disatisfied from this kit. The $185 dollar kit costed 20.00 to ship. The kit only included some wire w/ butt connectors that costs about 2.00, and two pieces of brake line tubing ($5.00) that isn't bent correctly and the tubing needed to be flared on one of the ends. If I knew how to flare tubing I would have done it myself. Bottom line go to auto parts store and relocate the system where air box was and bend lines yourself for about $10.00. It's easy. The kit would not fit but danny said it would and ended up clling me ignorant, even though I just built a 445 RWH LT1 myself. Danny told me no refunds.[/B] If I knew how to flare tubing I would have done it myself. JZ28Max 08-06-2007, 09:24 PM my D1SC was hitting the abs bracket and i just ground the bracket down to get the clearance i needed. it is removed altogether now though. ZBLKHELLRZR 08-07-2007, 03:09 AM Ditto what JZ28MAX said. After reading your question again I see what you are talking about. You've got 2 veins on the bottom side of the bracket that must be cut off or ground down entirely. I thought F1's only had this problem? Hmmm...... racer96 08-07-2007, 11:35 AM my car dosent have traction control. i can see about grinding that bracket off a bit. might just be easier to delete it and make some more room under there. thanks guys 97WS6Pilot 08-07-2007, 04:38 PM my car dosent have traction control. i can see about grinding that bracket off a bit. might just be easier to delete it and make some more room under there. thanks guys I deleted my ABS about a year ago. Didn't need to but it makes the engine bay look so much roomier. I haven't noticed any difference at all in braking. It just made the decision to go to 9" rear that much easier.:D http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/9/web/2373000-2373999/2373730_17_full.jpg | ||
