Probably sponsored by Apple or something. I hope they figure out a way to get some decent A/C in the car. The 45-60 degree temps that R134a gives just aren't cutting it.

I don't know.... I've been in some late model cars that will blow nice and ice cold in the middle of 90 degree rush hour.

You're certainly not going to get anything other than R134a, at least for the time being. Certain home and business central air systems use another kind of refridgerant/lubricant called R-410A which is Puron, not freon. Right now only Carrier systems have it. It is more efficient, lower pressure, and cools better than 134, but it's still too expensive to use for cars and Carrier doesn't make A/C systems for cars anyway.

All I ask for in the radio is a mp3 player input,

You are far from the only one. Trust me on that.

All I want is a radio that I can replace.

I hope it has some kind of removable hard drive that you can import all of your songs from ITunes onto and play through the radio.

personally, I like the radio's in the new Audi's...there's a memory card slot for a compact flash card for music. I like that better than using an ipod in the car. If it came with that and sounded decent, I wouldn't change to an aftermarket deck (might add a sub or swap speakers though).

it works fine in our work trucks.. (03' Silvys) . Recirculate the air helps too.. Plus 45* is a NICE change when it's 100* out and you've been working on a 400* asphalt screed IN that 100* heat. -Damn it was hot today!

As far as the radio, the GTO ripoff wouldn't bee too bad. I kinda like that one.. Something w/ an optional iPod hook up too.

All GM cars have this standard or available now , and all have Ipod jacks in 08 . Its probably pretty safe to assume , the camaro will the latest in audio trends . As far as AC controls , I assume thats what u were refering too ....peak around GM and Holden . Its a safe bet both the radio and Hvac controls already exist .

I just hope they don't make the system as complicated and hard to mod as the Monsoon was... Do you think there will be any possability of an optional Navigational system? or atleast a 2in Din Radio?

Why the heck would you want a ipod dock? My ipod doc is a simple line through cable that goes from my ipod to the audio-in jack in my radio and home theater system.. well worth the 5$ and I didnt have to spend 100$ on another gizmo that will be usless the moment my ipod dies.. and I can use the cable with any other audio player. As long as there is a audio-in jack then I will be happy. Maybe even a flip down cover that reveals memory card and usb slots would be very handy too. If there is a stupid, girly, faggy apple logo on my brand new mean camaro- i'd be pissed. In fact I wouldnt get the car becuase I dont like what Steve Jobs represents. But then of course, my wife would end up buying the car instead.

I'd prefer a generic MP3 jack as well.

While I'm no fan of Apple's products, I don't quite get the 'I don't like what Steve Jobs represents' comment.

I don't necessarily consider the Apple logo to be 'stupid, girly' or 'faggy' either. I don't want it on my car, but don't see anything wrong with it. A friend of my has a small white Apple logo on the back window of his Regal just because he has an iPhone. What's so wrong with that?

Well, in fact there isnt anything terribly wrong with it. But I dont want a apple branded radio in my car.. My wife has the sticker outside her car too.... but she doesnt drive a mean and sexy sports car.

Jobs is a jerk.. that is why I dont like him much.. the poducts arent too bad though ^_^

Anyway, my vote is still for the standard audio in :)

ooohh.. I also dont like when dealerships put their badges on the car I am buying.. if they do that I go somewhere else..

I'm with you on the standard generic audio in jack.

I just remove the dealers sticker from the car. Or, since I'm hoping to order my Camaro, I'll leave explicit instructions that I don't want it attached.

There was one in the 06 CC (Concept Camaro) and CCC (Concept Camaro Convertible). It was a long sausage-shaped unit with red lettering on a circle-shaped screen. It was seen with CD and a > symbol on it.
