texasTA 08-01-2007, 10:38 PM Just trying to get the word out that there is an attempt going to put together a LTx shootout, similar to the LSx shootout.
Check this thread for details...

POst up on that thread if interested.
MODS = Not sure if this is the right area for this. Just want as many people as possible to see it. Oh and can I get a sticky
1SlowFormula 08-01-2007, 10:41 PM It is still in the planning stages but with more interest it might become a reality, please post if you feel you can realistically go to it...
95Bird 08-01-2007, 10:47 PM If this happens I will def. be there.
SS RRR 08-01-2007, 11:15 PM I'm in Nothern VA and am very interested as long as it's somewhere like Bowling Green or St. Louis. I'd love for it to be in TX, but that'd be a 24hr drive straight through.
texasTA 08-02-2007, 04:07 AM I'm pretty sure that Texas will NOT be where it would be held. The consensus has been St. Louis, Memphis or BOwling Green. That would put the event in the center of the country.
Does anyone know a major Impala forum???
wicked_95z 08-02-2007, 06:06 AM http://www.impalassforum.com/
If its in TN or KY I would be interested
fast 93 z 08-02-2007, 08:31 AM Lets make this happen. Spread the word and lets get some interest in the event.

Sweetred95ta 08-02-2007, 09:09 AM I'd be down for anything around Missouri.
ROUDA 08-02-2007, 01:21 PM It would be nice, I would like it.
fast 93 z 08-02-2007, 10:56 PM There has to be more people interested. Whats the deal?
Fastbird93 08-02-2007, 11:22 PM I'm game. Just give me a time frame so I know when to be ready.
Boosted_Z28 08-03-2007, 12:33 AM Count me in!!! St. Louis would be a choice location.
Speed Density 08-03-2007, 02:20 AM If your interested please post up in the linked thread.
Tony.
fast 93 z 08-04-2007, 10:01 AM Thanks for the ideas guys! Keep them coming.

OneFlyn95z28 08-05-2007, 07:30 PM People only seem to be interested if it is in there back yard ;)
I am very interested and will to do my part but only a few are realy willing to put in the effort.
I have tried not to say much othen then I would like to travel less then 2,000 miles to go to this event. The reason we never get much west coast love is us guys get tired of being the only ones willing to travel ;)
It could also be why we sound like a broken record about it...and the reason we have been running our own local races for over seven years now :D
fast 93 z 08-05-2007, 11:41 PM You have a point. My hats off to you guys that have always traveled that far. That is why I asked for this to be centrally located to be fair for everyone.

I Know Tony you have always been fair. To be honest I would love nothing more to then to get some runs at the DA everyone else has :D
Last time we had good DA the track temp was 45 Degree's And I got to go for a ride:eek:
I did shave 0.200 off my 330ft time before it let go ;)
T WS6 A 08-06-2007, 02:24 AM Id go depending on location...
95firehawk 08-06-2007, 07:52 AM I'm in if its in St. Louis or Bowling Green.
FASTFATBOY 08-06-2007, 08:10 AM Memphis or Bowling Green, pencil me in. As long as it does not interfere with a HUGE week long cruise here (In Mississippi)the first week in Oct.
I still got some stuff to iron out but November would be SWEET in the above locations.

fast 93 z 08-06-2007, 09:47 PM Would Spring 08 be better for this event?
OneFlyn95z28 08-07-2007, 04:11 AM Would Spring 08 be better for this event?
If we are going to have to go that far it might be easyier. I have found a car to get licenced in while I am finishing mine. That is if I can get mine back into the shop...after the 03 Avalanche, 04 Cobra, 95 Blower Lightening, 06 GTO, 96 T/A 396 install..................
LT4POWR 08-07-2007, 10:40 AM Would Spring 08 be better for this event?
It would for me. Because of my work schedule, I can't attend anything this fall/winter. I'll vote for something around St. Louis, Memphis, Kansas City, etc.
n2oCamaro 08-10-2007, 08:07 PM I will be there as long as I can get a truck and trailer together. I really don't want to go farther than St. Louis but would probably do KC
fast 93 z 09-21-2007, 03:01 PM This has not been forgotten. We are still working on this.

The Engineer 09-21-2007, 04:58 PM I'm a hard-core LT racer and really interested in an LTX shoot-out in 2008 (the LSX guys are having all the fun with theirs). But I can’t miss any of my NHRA points events if there is a date conflict.

Skeeterz28 09-21-2007, 05:14 PM I don't mind a road trip, doing power tour again next year so as long as its not in the first half of June I should be able to make it:cool:.
mazdaman66 09-21-2007, 07:13 PM New to the site but this sounds like a awesome way to get together and meet some of the people that we spend hours talking to. I'm in no mater where its at. I think its fairly easy and cheep to get KCIR, but Gateway is way nicer.
AXEMAN 09-21-2007, 09:07 PM My LE1 head and cam package should be back and installed by early October(I hope) so I will be ready for something after that.
James Montigny 09-22-2007, 01:50 PM :cz28:
97SS0594 09-22-2007, 02:04 PM im in as long as its with in like a days drive. gas is expensive to pull the trailor.
SS RRR 09-22-2007, 06:46 PM Has there been any dates tossed around? I look at the original thread and there's a post saying a new thread has been started yet can't find it...
bdc95ta 09-22-2007, 06:50 PM I can probably make it, no matter how far it is, but without a date I can't confirm.

96LT1TX 09-23-2007, 01:36 AM I am not very confident my car would make the 16 hour drive from Lubbock to St. Louis, but if I could find a way to get it towed, I could make it... will look into buying a trailer.
fast 93 z 09-23-2007, 09:08 AM Here is the link to the new thread.

We were going to try and piggyback our event with another event but that may not work as we will not be able to run all the classes we want.
I am working on now trying to setup a race at KCIR. Kyle and I will set up a pre-pay and race info page on my website for this. The date is not yet set. I know it will be in the spring. Just keep track of this because this will be a race to remember. A lot of the heavy hitters will be there.

syoung731 09-23-2007, 11:23 AM I'm In Let me know when and where
The Engineer 11-02-2007, 11:14 AM Tony,
I was looking over the proposed classes for the event. If I met the classes requirements for LTX Heads-Up N/A (and made it in the field, 32 qualifiers), can I also run the LTX Bracket (12.49 & Faster) class? Basically, run the same car in two classes?
WD
n2oCamaro 11-02-2007, 05:02 PM You can run more than 1 class.
fast 93 z 11-02-2007, 05:17 PM Correct you can run two classes.
1SlowFormula 11-14-2007, 06:58 PM You can run more than 1 class.
Correct you can run two classes.
Do you have to pay more for registering in multiple classes?
fast 93 z 11-14-2007, 08:08 PM Do you have to pay more for registering in multiple classes?
No sir.
snakeatinZ 11-14-2007, 11:10 PM Holiday Inn  Booked
The Engineer 11-15-2007, 11:18 AM Holiday Inn  Booked
What is the address of the Holiday Inn and its location in relation to the track?
I guess most people will arrive on Friday evening/night, so they'll be ready to go first-thing Saturday morning. Also, will the track be open late Friday night, so you can get a pit-spot and leave your car on-site at the track (better securiity than a hotel parking lot)?
