rebuild stock shifterAsylist 07-29-2007, 11:18 PM Not yet ready to drop the coin on a B&M or Hurst shifter for the car, but the stocker is getting pretty sloppy. Can I replace just the bushings or whatever in it to get some more mileage out of it, or is my only option to get a whole new unit? teke184 07-31-2007, 11:29 AM buy a $25 short stick off ebay. or pony up for a little nicer unit and get a $55 lou's stick. the only real bushing is the one at the base of the stick...and trust me...you'll love getting rid of it. I haven't yet yanked the stick, but I'm sure the ball in the shifter body is getting worn as well, and that's not available seperatly.
