does anyone have pictures of an mtx thunderform box installed in their f-body? recently my front passenger speaker blew...so i plan on removing the stock monsoon system, its time for an upgrade. i want to add a 10'' sub, but i want to keep trunk space for the t-tops. is the mtx box a good option? any comments on the thunderform?

I have a Thunderform with an Infinity Kappa subwoofer in it, and it's great.

I opted for a subthump (http://www.subthump.com) box. I threw a 10" Alpine Type R in there and I have been very pleased.

Box is great, I have it with JL 10w6v2
MTX subwoofer which is already in box, you linked - sucks badly (vs JL).

thanks for the info. i figured the mtx sub was cheap because the price of the box alone is close to the price of a loaded box. where did you guys locate your amp with the mtx box?

just saw subthump's box and amp rack. i like their set up... any negatives on subthump?
I've got a millhouse box which I don't think they make anymore but quality was great and price wasn't bad either.

Click on the link in my sig for pics, installation instructions (including how I mounted 2 amps in my spare tire well AND kept the spare), etc., for my system that uses an MTX Thunderform box. I also capeted my box to match the interior.

I don't have either, but I have seen a LOT of posts regarding fitment issues with the subthump box. Apparently they take some modification to fit just right.

Most of which is due to not installing them correctly or having other junk like the stock wad of carpet or thick layers of sound deadener or the cd changer bolt in the way. We've ran into lots of things like that which is not the box's fault. Almost always when someone calls us up, we can give them the right advice to get it in the right way. If there are any serious issues with the design, then someone needs to tell us that so we can make a tweak--instead of all this "I heard bla bla bla" rumor crap which is nonsense.

Fair enough... glad to hear you have good customer service (I'll be wanting a stealth box myself eventually). I was simply answering his question based on what I read on this and other Camaro/Firebird boards.
