STOCK1SC 07-14-2007, 03:14 PM Kind of like the Camaro legends tour certificates that GM had back in 02? I got one for $1k off final price and used it for my 02 Z28 1SC stripper. It would be a nice way to reward the loyal enthusiast's who are devoted to this car above all others. It's sad but when I go to sleep at night I'm not dreaming about Ferrari's or Lamborghini's, I'm dreaming about the new Camaro! I don't know why but no other car in the world has as much appeal to me. If you gave me a Ferrari I would sell it and use the money to buy a Camaro and keep what's left over!
SSRich 07-14-2007, 03:30 PM That would be nice, To bad they wouldnt also give you like $100.00 off of each chevrolet you own as a rebate. Just make the rebate last until 2012 it will be a while before i get one but i am saving up.
Demian_ls1 07-14-2007, 03:35 PM Nice Idea... But we know that is not going to happen.
But we don't want rebates for the Car and we don't want "Market Adjustment" markups.
Price the car fairly and I won't mind paying sticker when it comes out.
Brangeta 07-14-2007, 08:45 PM I wouldn't expect a rebate until at least 2011, but it's a cool idea. I'd love a deal for "$1000 off per chevy you own," counting my dad's Corvette, that'd be $3k! :)
POWERFREAK 07-14-2007, 09:32 PM get a GM credit card if you don't have one already...that's your best bet.

Ha...if you count my parents car's that'd be $5000 for me...I'm all for it.
Klypto 07-14-2007, 11:32 PM were all chevy here ;) would be pimp
hyperv6 07-15-2007, 01:08 PM If you love this car you should hope they do not have to discount this car for a couple years.
Discounts are the first sign of poor sales.
Would it be fair to own a store or shop and all your friends come in looking for discounts?
j18369 07-15-2007, 03:57 PM For some reason my company gets a GM Supplier Discount, not sure why as we work on aviation electronics but I still get a nice percentage off anything besides the Corvette, hopefully it includes the Camaro when it comes out. I'm still trying to find out the percentage, all I know is a buddy got about 3 grand off a Cobalt.
Demian_ls1 07-15-2007, 04:42 PM I doubt you will be able to get any vender discounts for the Camaro at first.
flowmotion 07-15-2007, 04:55 PM The whole point of making this car is that people are enthusiastic about the Camaro. If you have throw money at enthusiasts to get them in the door, why even bother?
Brangeta 07-15-2007, 07:04 PM "Send your Mustang to the crusher and get a 0% interest rate on a new Camaro" I can see that one being advertised locally.
CLEAN 07-15-2007, 08:07 PM I'd settle if they worked it out that the real enthusiasts had a chance to get one for sticker right off the bat. I will not be gouged, plain and simple.
dangalla 07-15-2007, 08:29 PM and how exactly will they figure out who is an enthusiast and who isnt(post count on cz28), owning a chevy does not make you a chevy enthusiast in my book

Well it does for me, between my parents, me and my papaw we have over 20 chevys and i have a 1967 camaro that is getting there and i wouldnt be fixing it up if i didnt like it or chevy and we have about 6 sbc that are out of vehicles.
Im sad to say we own 1 Ford it is a dump truck we used for a couple of years to haul dirt and it has been broken down to many times to count. For the 2 years it has 6 fuel pumps on it and a rearend, engine was stuck, cab was off the truck only reason we got it was because it was gave to us.

I know, which is why I'm not even going to bother with looking at it at first. Not to mention the price markups, but I learned a long time ago that maybe it's good to wait about a year so the product can be used for awhile and all the kinks can be worked out.

jg95z28 07-16-2007, 02:12 PM Since I currently own three Camaros, do I get triple the rebate? :D
Rob V 07-16-2007, 07:11 PM IF GM were to do something like this, there'd have to be certain regulations and qualifications to be met. I could see something like being the owner a Chevrolet, let alone a Camaro, as the purchaser and only the purchaser. This would mean I'd qualify, being the owner of a 1997 Camaro but if I didn't, I'd be be out of luck despite my dad having owned an 02 Cavalier and now an 07 Avalanche LT.
