When is the best time to paint my car or get clear coat re-applied.

My SS needs a little bit of body work done, and I've got a good quote from my bodyman. My question is when is the best time to do it. Summer? Fall? ETC. I'm assuming paint cures best at a certain temperature.

My bodyman is epoxying a small crack in my bumper, then repainting it and applying clear coat, he is also popping a dent in my passengers side rocker panel and repainting/clearing it, and when that's done he is also going to re-clear my ss hood as the clear coat is coming off in a couple SMALL spots.

I'm just curious when it will best to have this done. I'm looking at sometime between late july and september probably. After that it'll be covered in my mothers driveway for winter.

You can pretty much paint in any weather as long as it isn't really humid. Clouds up the clear.

Temp isn't too big an issue, because you can adjust your mix a bit to get more or less flash time. Inside a garage or shop you can crank the heat in winter if it is too cold.

Most boothes will control the humidity right?

yes...if using a booth they can control that. If ur in a garage...its a little "tough" to control the weather, bugs, dust, and whatever else finds its way into garages. I would say the best time is typically early in the morning. Tends to be a little cooler out, not much wind, and the bugs dont seem to be abundant where I live in the morning. Go for it then...then let it dry.
