OEM Leather seats?

how common was this? i picked up this 85 Z28 that im fixing up and its got black leather seats front and back. did this come stock or is this just an aftermarket thing?

I was wondering the same. I have an 86 IROC with black leather front and back- ill try to find a pic..

You could get leather as an factory option

Those are vinyl base model seats.

The first year that leather was an option in Camaros was 87, and it was only on the outer sections of the seat. 88 was the first year for full leather seating surfaces, and it was only on the premium style seats that had the separate head rest.

well its a Z28.....so someone swapped them in?

Z28s came standard with the base level seats. All higher level seats were optional, usually based on interior packages.
