K, so I bought some '69 Z/28 emblems off ebay. They're of good quality but i uhh wasn't expecting them to be soo heavy. They are made of some kind of metal and have 3 little nubs with bolts on the back and they're curved like contoured as if to go on a curved surface.
How do I mount these suckers? Before I got them I was planning on 3M double sided sticking them to the side of the car after dremel cutting off the nubs.. but I dont think thatll cut it now and do I need to worry about them being curved?
Do I have to drill my body panels to mount them???

Dremel them out, take time between cutting each peice so that you do not turn too much of the emblem blue from heat.
Glue it on with 3M Plastic andl Emblem Adhesive, it's made specifically for metal emblems to stick to anything - plastic or metal. It's a very strong glue. Though on side of my Camaro badge started coming off a bit (I'm pretty sure someone yanked at it), after 3 years, its still on there really well and I just have to re-glue it.

Not necessarily the place to buy....just the first result I got. Try to buy it at the same place you got your emblems, or try Classic Industries.

I used a metal grinding wheel to get the emblem flush on the back side. Then I used the 3M double sided tape and stuck it right on there. I was nervous at first seeing as the the emblems were a little heavy but that stuff holds really well. Been on there little less then a year and looks the same as it did when I put them on.

I used the glue for fear someone would try to rip them off....I park in all sorts of places when I go out and I don't park in the garage. I was right, they did, and my glue held...sort of. They also took my gas cap

Four years later and my emblems are faded. The Z is now orange is had some areas where there is no paint left. It looks like I'lll need to buy some paint and small brushes and repaint it.
