I have to put my car outside. I plan on getting it painted but I want to cover it up so thinkgs don't fade etc.

Moshbmx1 07-08-2007, 10:04 PM I belive mine came from carcoversdirect.com. Its a dusttop i do belive so its for inside use but it works great and fits great
mdacton 07-08-2007, 10:18 PM Are any of them for outdoor use any good? I had one before and it would get the car wet and leave spots all over it.....I just wasen't sure if all of them are like that
Moshbmx1 07-08-2007, 10:58 PM I havent had a need for one thats for outside use. The cover that I have is a very good quality. Im not sure what brand you had but for the price of this one, being the NOAH, id assume that it would be of enough quality to keep the weather out.
Shirl 07-09-2007, 01:01 AM I have a Noah and LOVE it. Keeps the car very clean and it is form-fitted. It's a little heavy, but I usually fold it in half, roll it up and put it in the trunk when I take the car out. I highly recommend it.
Rashiki 07-09-2007, 03:36 AM My g/f got me a california car cover custom formed for my hood and rear spoiler, and it fits like a glove. The material is very soft and buttery, and she got it custom embroidered for me! I don't know what the price is but it states it's made for in/outdoor use. I only use it indoors, so I'm not sure about the performance is for outside. Just letting you know it's very soft and the fit is great!
Shirl 07-09-2007, 08:31 AM ^ Probably close to $400 bucks for that one. The Noah was like $250 or so. I got mine as a gift as well from my bf.
Z28SORR 07-09-2007, 10:54 AM Used Noah for years, good rain or shine.
i have a cali car cover i have a all weather one i got it off of ebay for bucks it was the good find
2000GTP 07-09-2007, 07:22 PM I am using the Wolfe car cover from Summit, it is prefitted for the 4th gens. It did a pretty good job in the beginning of keeping any rain and moisture out. I've noticed now though that it is starting to let the rain soak thru though during the bad storms.

How old is it?
I could keep my car in an enclosed trailer.....but the trailer isn't mine and I would hate to borrow it. Unless I really needed it

94 Camaro Z28 07-09-2007, 08:56 PM do the car covers have sleeves for the radio antenna?
mdacton 07-09-2007, 08:58 PM do the car covers have sleeves for the radio antenna?
I don't think so......I have seen some with a hole...or they give you a big plastic wingnut to take it off quickly
no they do not you have to take you antena off before you put the cover on
Shirl 07-09-2007, 10:13 PM Mine came with a plastic grommet in case you want to make a hole in the cover for the antenna. But I wouldn't want to do that. It would probably allow some water in. Plus, it'd be a hassle when you put the cover on.
Moshbmx1 07-10-2007, 06:47 PM I took my antenna off to put my cover on and havent put it back on since. For some reason once i took it off putting it back on just made it look out of place.
Shirl 07-10-2007, 06:52 PM ^ Same here. But I have a billet shortie antenna and very rarely, I put it on if I'm going to a cruise night or something...
