McDonald 07-05-2007, 03:26 PM I just put 42 lb Ford SVO injectors in my fuel rail and they did not have the same groove as the stock injectors (not sure if this is the same problem you are seeing). I just took a hacksaw blade and made my own new grooves in the plastic outer body of the injector to accept the stock clip. I have not run it yet but I am fairly sure it will work fine. You may want to do a search on this to confirm but I think some guys go without the clips and just hold the injectors in place in the manifold with the four bolts that hold the fuel rail to the manifold. Good luck. Sweetred95ta 07-05-2007, 03:34 PM I'm using a set of 30 lb SVO's without clips. I've been running them like that for years without any problems. wrd1972 07-05-2007, 04:20 PM The cluips are used to make installation easier, once the injectors are in they serve no purpose. I have the 30# SVT injectors and the clips worked fine. lt1chevelle 07-05-2007, 04:53 PM ya iam having problems with the clips sliding into the grooves i was thinking about doing the same thing with a hacksaw iam going to insall them tonight ill let you know how it gose SS MPSTR 07-05-2007, 04:57 PM I used a hacksaw blade on my SVO's too. Worked fine. Kevin Blown 95 TA 07-05-2007, 05:44 PM If I remember correctly, there's one groove they work in on those, and they might be a little higher or lower than stock, but it works. | ||
