the lt1 rear end will swap right in and is a nice upgrade from the stock 3rd gen one. You will need a brake proportioning valve or a master cylinder from a car w/ 4wd brakes.

You will also need a new e-brake cable, torque arm (from the 4th gen of go aftermarket) and might as well upgrade the shocks you have in there while the rear end is out.

Very straightforward swap that shouldn't cost you all that much, i was lucky and got mine for $150 w/ a stock 4th gen TA.

can't help you w/ the front brakes though

do you need to run 4th gen wheels then in the rear?

you can if you want, or you can buy offsets that will bring the wheels back in. the 4th gen rear end is wider than the 3rd gen's but the bolt pattern is the same.

i put my stock 85 Z28 wheels on a 95 Z28 3:23 posi rear end w/ disc brakes. They stick out about 2 inches further than stock but i think it looked really cool and gave it a wider mean stance.
