What is the best way to remove them?

I have tried clay, different glass cleaners/polish and vinigar.....nothing has helped.

Its only the side windows....I got a new windshield and the back is fine

I'd try some glass polish (Zaino, DP, or whatever brand you prefer) with a RO buffer.
Depending on what put them there, and how long they've been there, they may be very difficult to completely remove.

They have been there along time.....the clay did pretty good but they are still there.

Pretty sure it is from minerals.....we have well water where I live.

Would I be better off taking it to a glass shop and get it buffed out?

I used some rubbing compound on mine and it took care of them, but it was so much work that I just decided not to worry about it.

I have a guy coming over tommorow that does auto glass. I'm going to ask him about polishing it...we will see how it goes

He did my windshield last week....$150

For 12.95 you can get a bottle of Zaino Z-12 Glass Polish and I will guarantee it will remove any spots you have no matter how tough, I have removed spots with it on customers windshields for years and years after the owner had tried everything to remove them themselves.
