The Forgotten Pontiac G8
The Forgotten Pontiac G8
Anyone remember the original Pontiac G8 concept?
LS1, AWD, from 2001's auto season.

Although I myself am glad that we're getting a proper RWD sports sedan, but I still think this G8 had potential. Perhaps as a G6 with an equally powerful V6?
Opinions?

"GTO-style spoiler"
How did they know what the GTO spoiler would look like more than two years before they knew they were going to build a GTO?
Also that is what they made with the Grand Prix GXP with the LS4, without the AWD ofcourse.

They're talking about the 69 Judge. It had a similar looking spoiler.
Just because we're getting a proper RWD G8 in 2008 doesn't mean that GM wasn't lax for not making an AWD or even FWD V8 Pontiac sedan.
Car and Driver said the Grand Prix GXP was a great idea that would have been cooler ten years ago, and I have no doubt it's true. A V8 GXP in 2000 would have blown away the competition and sold like hot cakes. Same for an AWD G6 with a serious V6.

I actually like the spoiler on it, at least what I can see of it.
