Ls7 $12500 DeliveredBigBlueCruiser 06-21-2007, 06:04 PM http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm?singlepart=1&partnumber=17802397 Ultra_Dog 06-21-2007, 06:15 PM That's cheaper than building an engine that is turbo/supercharger friendly and adding a procharger. Does that come with a PCM, dry sump, etc.? myslowcamaro 06-21-2007, 10:15 PM http://www.victoryracingengines.com/engines.php?TYPE=LSX&BLOCK=LONG http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/categoryM.asp?MID=1&catid=3 just 2 random vendors on here. id rather go with a 408 that is not only cheaper, but im sure they produce more than 505hp. you'd still have change left over for a 200 shot wet kit. lsxprotour69 06-21-2007, 10:46 PM you have to buy the oil tank oil lines pcm. I have researched building one and buying the ls7. I would build one that has more power and is cheaper. Unless you just have to have a ls7 XcYZ 06-22-2007, 12:35 PM ...Unless you just have to have a ls7 Or get a smokin deal on one. :) 2000GTP 06-22-2007, 03:36 PM The LS7 definitely has a big "coolness" factor which in itself would justify the hefty cost to some. I think there are better avenues to travel in terms of power gains though, as others would agree. lsxprotour69 06-23-2007, 10:28 AM Or get a smokin deal on one. :) is that your camaro with the ls7 XcYZ 06-25-2007, 09:26 AM is that your camaro with the ls7 Yes it is. :) fasteddie94 06-25-2007, 06:11 PM Has anyone seriously modded an ls7? True you can build a higher HP LS1 for less but what about the potential of the LS7? I think this is another one of those LS1 V LT1 kinda things. One can be built cheaper where the other offers more power potential. Just thinking out loud I suppose. lsxprotour69 06-25-2007, 08:24 PM Yes it is. :)wow I'm building one now. I'm in the process of saving$ and buying parts I will use DSE sub frame and rear suspension. A ls based engine ect. Yours looks great. Mine will be orange Crystal pearl with silver star stripes. keep me updated on yours. soontobeGN 06-25-2007, 11:17 PM The LS7 definitely has a big "coolness" factor which in itself would justify the hefty cost to some. Build a huge HP 408 LS1, throw some LS7 badges on the outside, spank everyone around and noone will questions you. oh ya....never pop the hood...:p AL SS590 M6 06-26-2007, 07:03 AM Has anyone seriously modded an ls7? Be sure to stop by my site and let us know about it: www.Lateral-g.net/forums Unless you're already a member, that is. No but I have heard of cam and header LS7s hitting 70 to 100 hp increase over stock. I'm shooting for 610 ~ 615hp with mine. I guess we'll find out when I see what kind of numbers it runs. I'm running a Katech cam and Kooks LS7 headers with 1 7/8 primaries. I started it for the first time (http://www.lateral-g.org/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=409) about a week and a half ago, can't wait to drive it. danziger 06-26-2007, 09:36 AM The LS7 still seems expensive and you have to deal with the dry-sump (unless that is one of the selling points for you). For the same price you could build a killer 402/408/418 that would also be boost or nitrous ready. This is true, no arguement there, but I got a hell of a deal on my LS7, paid about the price of a typical LS2. The dry sump is no biggie. I have less than $500 into the complete setup with adapter, fittings, AN line, tank and breather. | ||
