New guy needing good information

Hi guys,
I'm very new here and I have a question. My son and I are working on his Z-28. I want to replace the stock exhaust system from header to tailpipe. This is for a 94 Z-28, LT-1, 6 speed.(stock Heads). I want long tube headers, with low restriction cat or cats, and complete cat back. I want the system to look like it belongs there, not just a bunch of parts welded together. TPIS is the only full system I know of. Hooker makes headers and cat back, but no connectors and cats. Please throw some of your knowledge to me. Thanks.

Kooks is another company that makes a catted y-pipe to go along with their long tube headers, however, that set will cost a good amount of money as well. In my case, I went with a budget header, Pacesetter long tubes and the off-road y-pipe. I then had a shop install a pair of high flow cats into the y-pipe. To top it off, I added a Magnaflow catback. The cats were the only part of the exhaust that was welded. Everything else just fit together like a puzzle and is held together by band clamps for easy disassembly in the future.

Thanks for the quick response. I would guess that the combination of cats and Magnaflow bark when on the throttle. How is the resonance issue inside when cruising about 1500-2300 RPM? How is the outside noise when driving easy. We want a healthy note, but not overbearing.

No resonance whatsoever, the Magnaflow does a very good job of cleaning up the exhaust note. Also, it is a pretty tame catback at idle and really comes to life when you have the pedal mashed.
