I'm in need of some new tires for the camaro.
Right now i'm on stock SS 10spoke wheels on a 1994camaro. Is that too wide for the rim/car?
what the biggest i could go on that?

I just put nitto 555 285/40/17's all the way around on 10 spokes they fit with no problems. The guy at American tire Co. tried to tell me they were to big.

They will fit with no problems. I ran 285s up front and 315s out back with no issues in my 97 TA.;)

275s will fit for sure with no problems. 285s will fit on the front of some cars with no problems, and they'll rub on others. Your mileage may vary. If they rub, it's not too hard to fix.

Many tire manufacturers recommend at least a 9.5" wheel width for a 285/40-17. The stock F-Body 17" wheels are only 9.0" wide. But it shouldn't make much of a difference.

We have ran many different brands of 285s on the front. Even the wider then most Goodyear F-1 GSD3 fits fine on a lower 95 Z28 ;)
