C6 OEM WHEELS ON A 4th GEN

Ok i plan on around 500rwhp and dont trust adapters with that much power where can i locate extra long studs to use with spacers to get rear wheel clearance away from that mount in rear fender..current set up 19x10 c6wheels on 285/35/19 Toyo T1R going on 1994 Z28.

Using longer studs with very thick spacers is a serious mistake. DO NOT DO IT. The adapters make much more sense. Limit for thickness on a spacer is 1/4".

you can double stack 5/16 spacers and et shank lugs but i have little faith in adapets because i have seen many studs broken.

If you already made up your mind, why did you even bother to ask the question? Just wasting people's time.

If you seriously think you can stack 5/16" spacers to make the 1.25" thick adapter required for the C6 wheels, let me know where you live, so I can make sure I'm not driving next to you when it lets go.

Ok i plan on around 500rwhp and dont trust adapters with that much power where can i locate extra long studs to use with spacers to get rear wheel clearance away from that mount in rear fender...i believe this was my first post and sounds like a question about studs not adapters..why put on a product that when is sold **** disclaims all it 's quality and are not recommend for street use...adapter s are made with low grade aluminum studs and i have seen stud failure on many applications. yet i have also seen realy long studs made of steel that replace stock studs used with spacers and never a broken stud or wheel fall off.

A "disclaimer" is included with numerous high quality aftermarket performance products. Longer studs add significant bending stresses to a component that is already in high shear and moderate tensile stress. Combined loads/stresses start to grow. Cracks start to form.

I've never seen an aluminum wheel stud :rolleyes:

Our adapters are precision CNC machined from aerospace grade 6061-T6 aluminum, and come with heavy duty pressed in Grade8 SAE or Grade 10.9 metric studs.

Really, from a joint design perspective, spacers and longer studs is a no-no.. you end up with excessive bolt bending moment which will drastically reduce the life of the joint..

Spacers increase the stress the longer studs would see significantly above the normal levels for the studs.
