I have a 1993 Z28 Camaro. My exhaust is currently stock...I want to get a Flowmaster 80 and delete my cat....What is my current inlet on my muffler? 2.5" or 3"? Has anyone done this yet? does it sound good? Loud?

Thanks

Yeah, the stock i-pipe is a tricky size, 2.75 inches.

I think that a Flowmaster sounds pretty crappy on LT1's. Too raspy and blown out sounding. Flowmasters also do not flow all that well. They belong on Mustangs.

Do a search. There is plenty of opinions out there about Flowmaster mufflers.

What kind of muffler should I get? Flowmaster is the only muffler that makes a Crossflow (that I know of) and I dont really want to spend a bunch of money cause I am trying to sell it...So a cat back is kinda out of the question...

Any suggestions would be appreciated....

Thank You!

If you are going to sell the car, I would just leave it alone then and save the money.

A lot of people have been telling me that lately...I just wanted to do something to the exhaust before I sold it just to get a little more fun out of the car...

IMO...

A little more fun... install a nitrous kit, have some fun, and take it off before you sell the car so then you can install it on your upcoming car.:D

Another route, install an exhaust cutout, they only cost about thirty bucks and they sound awesome on a stock manifold/y-pipe car.
