Will 235 tires fit on a 7.5" wide wheel?

I want to sell my salad shooters with the stock size tires on them (235/55R16). Someone with the steel wheeled Camaro wheels with 215/60R16 size (the stock size for those wheels) tires wants to buy my wheels.

Will 215s fit on a salad shooter wheel? I know those wheels are 16x7.5 and salad shooters are 16x8.

A 235/55-16 is OK on a 7.5" wide wheel. Most manufacturers recommend a wheel width of 6.0" - 7.5" for a 215/60-16
