Could this be a sign of a Holden like relationship for Ford Australia?

Foreign market cars test in the U.S. constantly... we see it all the time. Could very well mean nothing as far as the U.S. is concerned. I saw the Ford Territory over here testing more than once last year.

Yeah I know, but given Ford's new CEO's intrest in importing other Ford products wouldn't it at least be possible that this new Falcon could be sold in the States?

The Falcon would be nice, but the Euro Focus would be better.

How about both as say Mercury vehicles? Throw in a Mondeo and Territory to complete the lineup as well.

They could be doing some final hot weather testing since some HVAC components have changed in the last few months. Don't be surprised if a couple photos show up out of Arizona.
I am still hearing that it is not likely this gen of Falcon will be in the US.

I'm reading no LHD versions are planned.
Orion will be a re-skin of the current platform. Should be new enough to appear all new.
The images of the sillouette appear quite good, IMO.

I don't think they are any current plans to do so. I think there are plans for the NA & Euro Focus to be commonized next time around.

Nope. No Falcon for us this round, so don't read into the fact Ford's testing the things here. We're getting into the summer and it's getting towards "Death Valley Season". That's when just about every carmaker on the planet invades Death Valley for hot weather testing.
From late June/early July working up to early September, you can pretty regularly spot some prototype, mule, or preproduction car not just in and around Death Valley, but also cruising most all of Arizona & a sizable portion of Southern and central California including "western Detroit" (the I-405 corridor between the I-5 split and Long Beach).
I don't get Ford. Ford Australia is losing money, yet has this new Falcon that was developed with left hand drive capability built in,. and much like the Holden VE, was made with US crash standards in mind. Yet, Ford wouldn't even approve sales of the Falcon to the Mid-East, let alone the US to protect the Crown Victoria.
Too bad Alan Mulally got to Ford too late in the game. :(
