90+ MPH vibrations

I have always had a wicked bad vibration that feels like its gonna make the car take off after 90+. Its especially bad when I let off the gas (which leans me toward the pinion bearing) This is normally due to a out of balance driveshaft. Ive also heard it comes from a bad pinion bearing.

I know my pinion bearing is bad, and it will be replaced first of next week along with all the otehr bearings and gears. It howls like a loney wolf in Arizona when I decel.

Now I know the previous owner had a few rears put in, the last time he had one put it I can tell you it wasnt done very well (ie. the carrer mains being lose to the point of falling off). I am wondering if the driveshaft was installed upside down, and if I can just turn it 180 degrees to remedy the problem. Unblot it, turn the wheels till the pinion yoke is 180 degrees, and reinstall. Anyone ever heard of doing this before to remedy a similar situation?

Any other suggestions as to what it could be? Another friend swears its the stock torque arm. I have LCA, and relocation bracks as well as lowering springs that he says has thrown my pinion angle all off, and that is the cause of the vibration. That I need an adjustable torque arm to fix it.

Im at a loss...any help would be appreciated.

On my car it was the stock driveshaft. Same exact symptoms. Picked up an LS1 DS for $75.00 and fixed it.

I dont think its as much a issue with the driveshaft as much as having better /newer ujoints, and shaft balance.

don't change the u-joints unless they are worn or loose. you'll have to re-balance if you do

I plan on either replacing it all together (depending on the price, best I found is $125) or all change the joints out and get it balanced.

125 is probably a fair price for a good DS.
