Need recommendation on some springs over stock

Well, I am going to be changing out my shocks and springs soon and I just wanted to know what are some better springs over stock as far as ride quality and they DO NOT have to be lowering springs since I do not race my car. I already got some Bilstein HDs. Any sugestions would be great. Thanks

EiBach is always a good Choice. Me and my brother run the, Both F-body.

Eibach have been known to sag in the rear and in the case of the Sportlines to ride the bump stops. I wouldn't go that route.

If you don't care about being lowered and already have HD's then stick with stock.

Sam Strano Springs he just "designed" and his sway bars very nice.

Remember when going to springs you "have" to get Konis SA or Bilsteins revlaves.

If you DON'T want to lower the car, the stock springs will be fine. The shocks will give you a ride improvement. If you DO want to lower it, check out Sam Strano's springs. He set his own spring rates for the best ride quality while still dropping the car 1.25 inches. But, those regular Bilstein HD's aren't valved for lowered cars. Call or email Sam Strano, he is a supporting vendor here.

1LE springs are stiffer and sometimes even raise the ride height with stock style shocks. The Koni's can adjust your height apparently as well.

The SLP package is supposed to drop the car slightly (1" or so) and the shocks are matched to the springs. I believe they still offer the SLP setup that was available from the dealership. I know there are two levels.

All of the other aftermarket springs drop the car at least some.

I'm not sure this is what you want to hear, but if you were planning on spending money on new shocks and springs, I'd like to offer another option. Save you money on springs...shocks are where you need to focus.


With that said, if it were me, I would sell the Bilsteins, keep the stock springs, and get the Koni SA. First off, the Bilsteins are ok, but not great. The rear shocks stink (new valving). Second, the Koni's offer a lifetime warranty...the Bilstein does not. Third, you can tune you Koni's to your desired setting. And finally, if you ever want to lower the car, the Koni's allow about a half inch drop.

For nearly the same cost as new springs and Bilsteins, the Koni's are far superior.

If you are dead set on springs, the 1LE springs can be found for cheap on ebay. I've seen them go for less than $75 for all four.:cool:
