Will the Nascar SB2.2 heads work on a L98 350 engine? If so, are they bolt on? Just add big cam and correct intake?
Thanks
Thanks

Thanks BLUETOPTA 05-18-2007, 12:25 PM TTT, anyone? Im talking about a 5.7 L98 out of a 3rd gen N20Dave 05-18-2007, 12:45 PM The short answer is yes. However, it takes custom pistons, headers and a whole lot more than just being able to bolt them on to make the motor work. Do a search and you should find some posts about my motor. BLUETOPTA 05-18-2007, 01:05 PM Why custom pistons? 91Z-28 05-18-2007, 01:39 PM Why custom pistons? My guess would be 1. The valve angle of the heads 2. They have very small combustion chambers that result in very high compression since they are intended to use race gas N20Dave 05-18-2007, 03:33 PM The ports are totally different than a standard head requiring a special intake manifold, pistons and headers. The cumbustion chambers are also generally in the 43-48cc range so compression will be high unless you get the pistons dished. take a look at this pic of our motor and specifically at the intake runners: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/3/web/375000-375999/375580_79_full.jpg rskrause 05-24-2007, 04:12 PM The ports are totally different than a standard head requiring a special intake manifold, pistons and headers.
