Anybody using these? I need to replace the stock pads and rotors.Looking at power slot rotors and Hawk Pads.I'm concerned the HPS pads will give off too much dust so I'm thinking Hawk Ceramic.Yes/No? Thanks

I ran Hawk HPS pads, and yeah, they created BRUTAL amounts of brake dust!! I'm now running ceramic pads (not Hawk) and they seem better so far, although my car is plain DIRTY at the moment, so it's almost hard to tell anyway!!

Yes, have Hawk HPS on all four, and yeah, lots of dust.

But stopping is predictable and good. Can't wait to upgrade to LS1 fronts.

I'm using GM ceramics on my C5 brakes and they don't dust at all compared to the Z06 pads I removed. Braking is about equal.

I am now running Hawk HP Plus pads with my Baer brake system. They dust really bad all the time, and they are constantly chirping loudly whenever I use the brakes. On the plus side, when I really get on them, they make my eyes almost pop out of my head!

I had hawks and these things hardly dusted at all. maybe everybody else had the agressive pads. I had the first street grade hawks HPS I think...great pad..great wear. I had 70K on them when I sold the car.

Yeah, the HPS pads are just one step down from my HP Plus pads. I love how they stop, but definatly pay the price of constantly cleaning the rims, and putting up with the constant chirping that happens whenever I touch the brake petal.

not to mention how badly they wear the rotors. etch would be more accurate
strano sold me some PBRs and they dust way less with just a bit less bite and grab of the HPS+. and no noise

he also told me that PBR austrailia was the OE manufacturer for the LS1 front calipers

PBR pads are also what come with the Baer brakes from Baer. They stop alright and don't dust too bad, but they don't stop nearly as good as the the HP Plus pads.

Comparing a street pad to a more aggressive one most people dont' run on the street is kind unfair. Apples to oragnes you might say.

They (the HPS, PBR's, and or HP Plus) are all used on street applications. Just some are more agressive that others as you mentioned. You say apples to oranges, I say good apples to better ones. :)
