Help with cowl decode

Hello

My father just got a 1967 camero. Its marked up as a Z28 but how can I tell if it is a real Z28? Will the cowl or the vin give me that Info?

If its "real" its rare. Only 602 of the 220,906 Camaros built in 67 had the Z28 option.
