wiring techs- using a bird door harness in camaro

Trying to fix the hack-job the previous owner/idiot left for me. they changed the door and of course cut the door harness at the door jamb. I have a harness from what was supposed to be a 95 camaro, (this is going into the 95 camaro) but it appears to be a Firebird possibly newer Firebird harness. I've gotten some functions out of the mirror. This is on the passenger side, i've been searching and reading all over here the last couple hours and been studying shoeboxs diagrams, but still not sure what to do with all of it. On the mirror wires, do I connect the brown/white and Lt. Blue together to the grey wire from the car? Also on the Lock switch it looks like the 95 coming from the body has 2 grounds and a common (orange) to the switch with a lt. Blue and Dr. blue. The newer harness it looks like a common ground in the orange wires position and org/black to the Lt. Blue and Red/black to the Dr. blue with no extra grounds. Does that sound right? If so, how do I go about wiring that up right? Will it be wrong to run the orange from the body to the black of the new harness then the other two? what do I do about the missing grounds? Also the two black wires for the lock actuator that are together, are those the two grounds Im currently missing from my switch? and I have a grey and grey/black for the other two running to the actuator, does the grey/black go to the tan from the body and grey to grey? I know thats a lot so sorry bout all that. Also the car does have the keyless entry option. Dr. side power lock hasnt worked since i've owned it, From what i can tell the Pass side has to be hooked up for it to work. I dont have a remote for it so i dont know about the functionality of the keyless reciever. I do however have a remote from a early 90's pontiac I was going to try to program after I get it all working with the switches. Thanks in advance to anybody that takes the time to check my guess work. :)

Ok well it all works. for the most part anyway. I think the passenger side switch is wore out but it works perfect from the driver switch so good nuff for now. If you push hard on the pass. side switch it'll unlock but havnt messed with it too much more yet. Is the window switch wired the same internally? could I just swap it for the lock switch with it wired up how it is now? Door has manual window for now, so no big deal there. If anybody is curious/has the same problems, I thought i'd post up here what I did for future reference. The * will represent the pin-out of the back of the switch.
*1 *2
*3 *4 *5 with the wiring I had there was no wire in the No.1 or No. 5 position so I used the terminal from my extra Dr. side harness, popped right in. Just remember which ones your running where. I cut the excess off the Two black wires running to the lock actuator that arent used on the 95 (95-93) If I read the diagrams correct. I used those two for the No.1 and No. 5 connectors I just added. Turns out those two are your grounds for the switch anyway so that works. There IS however a black wire that already runs to No. 3 and that is your Main hot (orange wire no stripe) to the switch. So heres what I've come up with, this being a keyless entry equipped car. No. 1 will be a ground and a wire you have to add to the harness.
No. 2 is Orange with a Black stripe and goes to the Dark Blue from the car side. No. 3 is Black and goes to the Orange wire from the car.
No.4 is Red with Black stripe and goes to the Lt. Blue in the car.
No. 5 is a ground and a wire you add to the harness.
I welcome anybody that has more knowledge on this to make suggestions or any other advice to help. This is however currently working correctly in my car wired like this. Also on this newer harness you have a grey and a grey with black stripe that runs to the lock actuator. Grey goes to grey and the grey with black stripe goes to tan in the car. On the mirror. I hooked the Brown w/ White stripe to the Yellow from the car, The Red w/White to the Red w/White from the car, and the Brown W/White from the mirror harness to the Lt. Blue from the mirror harness together and to the grey from the car. Fully functional and direction correct. The first thing to do is turn on your parklights and find your grey wire for your little door light and its ground( not sure if its ground matters or not as long as all the grounds are hooked up...anybody else know?) After that it wasnt too bad since there are a few wires that are the same color. Hope this helps if anybody else runs into these problems and is as or more confused with wiring diagrams than me. Also I recommend using crimp connectors or something similar instead of electrical tape or wire nuts. Dont forger your test light and have somebody to help push buttons on the master switch so you find all your wires. Do your little door light first then your mirror if you have power mirrors then the lock should be easy.

ok finally found a post where somebody successfully switched the pass side window switch with the lock so I tried it. Changed the covers and it works perfect. cool, one last thing now. the remote I have came from about a 94 or 95 Pontiac. Dont know if the batteries are dead (havnt got around to gettin another volt meter) or if its just plain wrong. Jumpered the wires for the programming and the locks cycled but push remote button and nothin. What do I look for to see what remotes I can use?

well ok i know that remote dont work.... batteries are good both read 3.1V and 3.3V. so.............anybody........... please dont let me sit in here talkin to myself.... What FCC ID do i need to look for that'll work for this 95? I do not have an original remote so no numbers to cross ref. i've done searches and can never come up with a straight answer on which ones will work. Apparently not every pre 95 GM remote will work so anybody? whats the FCC ID on your remotes for owners of 95 and earlier?
