rocker arm question

my rocker arms were loose so i tightened them. my question is can you tighten them too much? and would it cause the engine not to start?

If you just "tightened" them without going through the valve adjustment process (http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#adjust_valves), then you will have to start over and do it right. Yes, too tight can cause loss of vacuum and no start.

ha thanks, i def did it the wrong way. oh well live and learn. i'll fix it tommorow. any tips that werent covered on that website?
