my window motors have always been slow... normal for a 4th gen. today when i got home and went to roll up the passenger side window nothing happened. it was up so i could kinda get a grip with my fingers on part of it and try to help it up while pushing the button and nothing. checked both switches to make sure that wasn't it and nothing. i didn't hear any sound when i pushed the button but not sure if i should at all.

so basically

1. its off track... any way to tell with out taking off the door skin

2. thermal circuit is completly gone...any way of testing that? http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=443785

3. whole motor is gone... replace it

my plan as of now is to ake of the door skin and see if it is off track, if not take it our and do the bypass. reinstall and hope it works. if that doesn't then replace it.

LET ME KNOW if you have any insite or answers to the numbered items. thanks in advance CRITTER

I had the same thing happen to my drivers side window. It would just click when I pushed the button. Turns out the motor was completely seized up.

The door panel take 5 minutes to take off, so I would take it off and check the track. If on track you can reasonably assume that the motor is shot. It sounds like the gears are stripped. I replaced mine a few weeks ago, a very easy job.

If it is making a grinding noise, I would also start to suspect the gears are grinding.
